never ever (ages 2-5)
the never ever class is designed for children who are timid in the water or have never attended formal swim lessons. in this class, we will focus on getting comfortable with putting our head in the water and holding our breath. with safety in mind, we will show the kids how to back float and safely climb out of the pool. we will also work on kicking and using our arms in the water.
beginner 1 (ages 3-5)
the beginner level one class will work with children who have previously had swim lessons or are comfortable being under the water. we will work specifically on breath stroke and learning how to take a breath while swimming. we will also focus on floating as a way to be safe in the pool.
beginner 2 (ages 4-6)
the beginner level two class is designed for those kids who can swim using a basic breath stroke. we will focus on taking a breath while swimming in order to swim longer distances safely. we will also introduce freestyle swimming, along with back and front float.
intermediate (ages 5-8)
the intermediate class is for our advanced swimmers. students should be able to swim a short distance independently using breath stroke. we will learn free style, backstroke and butterfly. other more advanced swimming skills such as treading water will be introduced as well.
1 week mini session: ideal for those swimmers who just need a refresher before the summer begins. This session can be taken on its own or combined with our regular 2 week session.
